The Eglinton Crosstown light rail transit (LRT) project has seen great movement, including recent delivery of light rail vehicles to a testing site. We told you the story and showed you the images in previous posts – including one where a local mechanic pitched in to keep a delivery truck on schedule. Now see what it looked like through the eye of a video camera – in this double feature.
For those who wanted to see a bit more action in recent coverage of the delivery of six new light rail vehicles to the Eglinton Crosstown project’s testing area, we have you covered with two new videos.
The LRVs have been moving from the Crosstown light rail transit (LRT) maintenance and storage facility in the west end of Toronto to the east end of Eglinton to start testing. During the summer, these six vehicles will be put through their paces along the LRT route in the east end of Toronto and will include two-car trains (coupled vehicles), increased speed testing, and brake tests.
