What is the Hurontario LRT project? Find out in this new video

There’s construction happening up and down Hurontario Street from Mississauga’s Port Credit area, all the way up to Steeles Avenue in Brampton. Much of this work is in the name of improved transit for Peel Region’s busiest road. We’ve written many stories on the new route, but find out more about the details, and future of the Hurontario LRT line by watching the latest video about the project.

Let’s take a step back for a reminder – or primer – on Peel Region’s newest transit project.

The Hurontario light rail transit (LRT) project is now under construction and there’s a lot happening along the 18-kilometre route.

From utility relocations, to curb replacement, and lane widening – work on the line is in full swing. That’s why the team at Metrolinx created a video to outline what the project is, what’s happening right now with construction, and what’s to come in 2022.
