See bird’s eye view of Union Station and downtown Toronto in new drone footage

How cool would it be to fly a drone over Union Station? We think so as well. But not just anyone can do it. There are strict Transport Canada rules. But thanks to teams involved in the Union Station Enhancement project, Metrolinx News has new drone video that reaches the highest level of wintery coolness.

High above the GO train tracks in downtown Toronto a drone hovers, capturing the latest snowy images of Canada’s busiest transit hub.

Even from 70 metres up, the footage is crystal clear.

The snow glistens on rooftops as GO and UP trains glide by with ease.

Why take this video? It serves a few purposes, beyond being awesome. It’s part of the surveying work for the upcoming Union Station Enhancement Project.

Enjoy the view.

And because of that work, Metrolinx News will be featuring more unique drone footage in the coming weeks and months.
