New weekday group pass lets customers save on GO Transit trips

Metrolinx’s new weekday group pass is being introduced today (July 5), giving customers a new way to save when travelling with others. Keep scrolling to learn more about the different options and how much you can save.

With the increase of in-person work, summer events and rising gas prices, more customers are returning to transit.

To help make transit more affordable, Metrolinx is introducing a new pass for people travelling in groups.

Starting at $30 for two people, the weekday group pass gives customers unlimited GO trips on any given weekday. It’s applicable on both GO Trains and GO Buses and can be used on all GO Transit routes.

With options for up to five people, these flat rates are especially useful for busy travel days or families looking to save on their trip.

Depending on the number of people who are travelling together, the cost ranges anywhere from $30 to $60.

Breakdown of costs for group pass options:

  • $30 for two people
  • $40 for three people
  • $50 for four people
  • $60 for five people
